Many people in Siouxland who experienced the northern lights Tuesday night may have another chance at seeing them again.
Residents expressed their excitement about the northern lights by posting many photos across social media.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, another geomagnetic storm is expected Wednesday evening, which may be visible to residents in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
The website says the northern lights are a display of light in the sky caused by the sun’s charged particles colliding with gases in the Earth’s upper atmosphere.
