The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce’s Good Government Committee has endorsed three of the Sioux City Council candidates.
Candidates that have been endorsed are Craig Berenstein, Rick Bertrand, and Paul Koscovisch.
The Good Government Committee interviewed all six city council candidates after the primary election.
Craig Berenstein is endorsed as an experienced leader capable of helping encourage and facilitate change through strong communication, cooperation, and collaboration among the five city council members.
Rick Bertrand and Paul Koskovich are endorsed as agents of change.
Since no incumbents are seeking reelection, the committee surmised that this election will be an opportunity to bring change to city hall and the Sioux City community with new ideas, vision, and a sense of urgency.
The committee said it was challenging to reach an agreement because this group of candidates has been the most impressive group interviewed to date.
The general election is on November 4th.
