At their meeting on Tuesday, the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors approved a second participation form for the National Opioids Combined Settlement.

A new national opioids settlement has been reached involving eight manufacturers, including Alvogen, Ameneal, Apotex, Hikma, Indivior, Mylan, Sun, and Zydus.

The county must submit the form before October 8th to be considered in initial participation calculations and to be eligible for payment under the settlement.

This follows the board’s approval of a participation form for an opioid settlement against Purdue Pharma during their meeting last week.

Funds from these settlements are intended to support opioid recovery, prevention, and treatment efforts at the local level.
