The Sioux City Art Center, is hosting its annual ArtSplash event this weekend in Downtown Sioux City.
ArtSplash brings artists together from Sioux City and across the country to showcase their work to the community.
One major change this year is extended hours on Saturday, with the festival running until 9p.m.
Todd Behrens, Executive Director of the Sioux City Art center told Siouxland Public Media that the goal was to create a new atmosphere that adds a different aspect to the event.
The festival will feature children’s art activities, live music, food vendors, and short films presented by the Siouxland International Film Festival.
The festival will also showcase local nonprofit organizations offering free art activities and information.
The Sioux City Art Center has hosted ArtSplash for 31 years.
