The Woodbury County Auditor’s Office is now accepting requests for absentee ballots for Sioux City’s upcoming primary election.
Requests for absentee ballots will be accepted until September 22nd. In-person absentee voting at the courthouse will be available until October 6th.
On election day voters will need to vote at their designated polling location.
Voters who mail their ballots must specify that it is for the primary election.
In the primary, Sioux City residents will vote for City Council candidates, and the top six will advance to the general election.
There are nine candidates running for the Sioux City Council.
