Sioux City’s annual Unity in the Community Block Party takes place on Saturday.
The event is a chance for people to come together in solidarity at Cook Park.
President of “Unity in the Community” Monique Scarlett helped launch the event and organization in 2016 and shares her perspective with Siouxland Public Media's Sheila Brummer.
