INTERVIEW: National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day; Siouxland Woman Shares Her Journey

Friday, October 15th, is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. An event planned for 7 p.m. at Sioux City's Miracle Field includes an opportunity for people and families to light a candle.

Katie Kruse of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, is the organizer and member of the non-profit No Foot Too Small. She shares her personal story and mission with Siouxland Public Media’s Sheila Brummer.

Katie Kruse - No Foot Too Small Sioux City Ambassador

No Foot Too Small was founded out of a desire to draw awareness to pregnancy loss + infant mortality while encouraging the celebration of angels. Katie Kruse is the local ambassador for Sioux City. She lost her daughter, Elizabeth at 26 weeks due to Trisomy 18 last December.

October 15th is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.  This is a global event where at 7pm your local time, you light a candle until 8pm, with the concept there is a wave of candle light around the world.
