This afternoon, former Vice President and Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden was in Le Mars talking about his approach to improving health care and insurance coverage for all Americans.
Yesterday, Biden unveiled a plan that would add a "public option" to the 2010 health care overhaul known as "Obamacare," with expanded coverage paid for by raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans. Biden hopes his positioning as Obamacare's chief defender helps him on several fronts. Biden will be in Sioux City tonight at Country Celebrations. The event begins at 6:00 p.m.

The Sioux City Journal reports that the Mass Markets center just east of the Sioux Gateway Airport already has about 300 workers, up from the 150-175 employed in Dakota Dunes.
