It’s a busy week for Presidential candidates in Siouxland.
Tomorrow, the former Vice President Joe Biden plans to discuss rural health care in Le Mars. He’s also holding a community event tomorrow night in Sioux City.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has scheduled a Town Hall at Morningside College for Thursday night.
New Jersey Senator Cory Booker plans to discuss environmental justice at an event on Thursday night at the downtown Sioux City Public Library.
On Friday, at the Sioux City Convention Center from 2 to 4 p.m., AARP is holding a candidate forum. The presidential candidates expected to take part are Warren, Marriane Williamson, Beto O’Rourke and Andrew Yang. The event is open to AARP members only.
After the forum, O’Rourke, a former congressman from Texas, is hosting a “Beers with Beto” at The Diving Elk early Friday night.
He will also meet with supporters at La Juanita’s in Sioux City Saturday morning.
On Sunday afternoon, Texas Congressman Julian Castro will attend an event at Riverside Park
Heat and humidity creating uncomfortable conditions for parts of Siouxland.
There’s a heat advisory until 9 p.m. for Woodbury, Plymouth, Sioux, Lyon, Dixon, Dakota, and all of southeast South Dakota.
With higher dewpoints today the heat index will make it feel like 104 degrees in some spots.
The National Weather Service says because of the advisory make extra precautions to stay safe.
