Siouxland Public Media was honored for work done to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Woodbury County Courthouse.

Munger and historic preservation expert Jim Jung appeared before the County Board of Supervisors Tuesday afternoon to be recognized for winning a 2019 Preservation at Its Best Award by Preservation Iowa.

The courthouse located near 6th and Douglas is considered one of the top Prairie School architectural buildings in the country.
It was designed by William Steele who studied under Louis Sullivan in Chicago. A 100th anniversary celebration took place last year.
