Josh Turek, who is running for Iowa’s U.S. Senate seat, will be holding an event in Sioux City on Thursday.
Turek, a Democrat from Council Bluffs, is currently a state representative for the 20th District.
His top priorities include restoring funding for Medicaid, raising the minimum wage, and lowering taxes. Turek's event will be at the Hilton Garden Inn at 6pm.
Turek’s Democratic primary election opponent, Zach Wahls, currently serves in Iowa’s Senate, representing the 43rd district. He was in Sioux City on April 27th.
Republican U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst is not seeking re-election.
