The Iowa Cancer Registry and the University of Iowa College of Public Health, in collaboration with other organizations, are hosting a presentation discussing cancer on Thursday. The presentation is part of the Cancer in Iowa: 99 Counties project.

During the presentation, representatives of the project will share the latest cancer data related to Woodbury County. They will also provide residents a chance to express their concerns or suggestions for improving cancer outcomes within the community.

Residents, public health officials, and policymakers are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion.

According to the Iowa Cancer Registry, the state has the second highest overall cancer rate in the nation.

Community members can attend in person but must register ahead of time through the Iowa Cancer Consortium’s website. The meeting is Thursday at 9 am at the WITCC Rocklin Conference Center.
