The Sioux City Council will discuss accepting a donation from the Sioux City Parks and Recreation Foundation in its meeting Monday.

The donation is $1.5 million and will be used for Destination Iowa Funded Trails projects.

The funds will be allocated to the Big Sioux Crossing project and phase three of the Plywood Trail project.

If the city council accepts the funds, the Big Sioux project will receive $325,000, and the Plywood Trial would receive about $1.2 million.
