Harris Lake Park Elementary students will be attending classes at different locations in coming weeks due to a broken boiler system.
Superintendent Mike Thompson said the steam valve broke on Friday and created steam, water, and electrical damage to the building, as first reported by Explore Okoboji.
Classes are expected to resume Wednesday, with 1st through 5th graders attending classes in the middle and high school. Preschool and kindergarten classes will be relocated to the Presbyterian church.
Students will remain in the temporary locations until the move into the new school which is expected sometime in February.
