The Iowa Economic Development and Finance Authority has awarded Lake Park a $900,000 Community Attraction and Tourism Grant for a park renovation project.
The Silver Lake City Park renovation project will replace outdated playground equipment, create a paved loop trail, improve the shelter house, and add spaces for sporting activities.
According to a press release, the project aims to enhance a recreation area that will attract visitors of all ages.
The total cost of the project is $3.05 million.
