The Sioux City Council will discuss a letter of understanding and contribution for Explore Siouxland in its meeting Monday. A presentation from Explore Siouxland and a vote on the contribution were deferred from last week’s meeting.
According to a memo, the letter of understanding focuses on promoting Sioux City as a destination for tourists, conventions, and sports events by expanding marketing and tourism outreach.
Before the council makes a decision, Tyler Daugherty, Executive Director of Explore Siouxland, will present the organization's past year’s accomplishments and future plans.
If approved, the city will contribute $321,950 to the organization.
