Ways To Subscribe

The Storm Lake City Council will discuss approving the transition from Digital Ally to Axon body and in-car cameras for the Storm Lake Police Department.

According to the memo, Axon body and in-car cameras would contain AI tools such as real-time interpretation features, integrated evidence management, and consistent vendor support.

The transition would include cameras for 20 officers, AI tools, evidence.com cloud storage, and training.

For a five-year contract, the estimated cost during the first year is $105,749.00 and $100,749.00 per year after the first year.

Authorizing the transition will save the city $40,300, as the annual fees for Digital Ally will increase by 8 percent starting January 1st.
