Missouri River Historical Development awarded approximately $200,000 in grants to many Siouxland organizations Thursday.
According to a post, the holiday grant awards are an annual event where MRHD gives Siouxland organizations a “secret grant”.
Some of the larger gifts were $10,000 to the Food Bank of Siouxland, $12,000 to the Urban Native Center, and $15,000 to St. Luke’s Health Foundation.
“Congratulations to this year’s Holiday Grant recipients, your work inspires us all and reminds us that we are truly,” the organization said in the post.
The organizations are nominated by board members. 24 organizations were selected this year.
