The City of Sioux City has been awarded $104,000 from the Iowa Finance Authority to support local agencies to prevent and reduce homelessness.
Funds from IFA's Iowa Homelessness prevention fund, will assist individuals and families currently living in Woodbury County and facing eviction. It will provide short term rental assistance to support those at risk of losing their homes.
Rent assistance will be limited to a total of three months of rent. Eligible applicants may receive up to two months of back rent and a month of future rent, or one month of back rent and up to two months of future rent.
