The new city-county law enforcement center under construction on Sioux City’s Northside will not be finished until April of next year.
Woodbury County supervisor Mark Nelson was just appointed to the jail authority board last week, and he made the announcement at Tuesday's board meeting.
The original completion date was Thursday, September 14th,
Nelson said the fire dampening system was the sole reason for the delay. He added that the new LEC could be housing prisoners by April 9th.
