The Sioux City Public Library recently announced the Sioux City Reads book for 2023. The public picked “Calling for a Blanket Dance.” Reading Services Librarian Michael Maxwell discusses the novel and the importance of the program with Siouxland Public Media’s Sheila Brummer. He also shares a few gift-giving ideas.
Library officials say to expect a big announcement early next year. It surrounds funding to improve technology in the community through the Federal Emergency Connectively Program through American Rescue Act Funding.
