Several staff members of the Sioux City Police Department have tested positive for COVID-19.
Officials say service will not suffer.
A spokesperson for the SCPD says in order to protect the privacy of the employees they will not release any information on duties or the number of people sick or in isolation.
In a news release sent out on Thursday night, the department says they will continue to monitor staff members reporting for duty and continue to remain committed to taking calls and protecting the public.
Officers will maintain recommended social distancing guidelines, use personal protective equipment and keep vehicles and gear sanitized.
