Iowa Prairie Heritage Week begins September 13, and the Iowa Prairie Network is coordinating events throughout northwest Iowa. Hillview Recreation Area in Hinton will host “Monarchs and Milkweeds” on the 13th, and Tiffany Prairie will host a “Prairie Visit and Reception in Buena Vista County,” on the 26th. In Sioux City, Briar Cliff University will host “A Little Reading on the Prairie” on the 15th as well as a “Prairie Volunteer Day” on the 19th. The Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center will host a “Monarch Butterfly Tagging” on the 17th.
