Ben Johnson's Masque of Oberon was performed on New Year's Day, 1611, for the court of King James I. Like most masques, it was not intended to be performed again. Thankfully, some fragments from the original work were preserved. Here we hear a reconstruction from those fragments. Philip Pickett directs the Musicians of the Globe.
