A few dozen people attended a vigil in downtown Sioux City on March 1, 2021 to remember victims and survivors of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Several who attended spoke about their loved ones who died during the past year. Others talked about the impact of the disease on minorities and front-line workers in the community.

Siouxland Public Media’s Sheila Brummer attended the event virtually on Facebook and shares the heartbreak and insight from the evening.
