Morningside Piano Recital Series

This weekend, the Morningside Piano Recital Series features a special trio that will perform together for the first time. Stephanie March (cello) and Yi-Yang Chen (piano) first met as undergraduates at the Eastman School of Music. Later, as a graduate student at Nortwestern University, March met Parker Gaims (clarinetist), where the two performed together as well as studied. Following their academic careers, March maintained a close relationship with both Chen and Gaims as music and careers took them to various parts of the globe. When this opportunity arose to bring them together, the three quickly formed a close bond, discussing the evening's programming over email, landing on what we will all hear this Saturday, January 18, in Eppley Auditorium: Beethoven's Op. 11, Nino Rota's Trio for Clarinet, Cello, and Piano, and Brahms' Op. 114. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
