Siouxland's Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday celebration

This week on The Exchange, we take you to a community gathering in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. More than 150 people gathered at the First Congregational United Church of Christ on Sunday, January 21st to celebrate the life of the civil rights trailblazer.

The keynote speaker at the event was Justice Robert Teifenthaler, the first black person to be appointed as a judge in Iowa District 3B.

We also hear from the Siouxland Coalition Against Human Trafficking. The group held an informational session this week at the Sioux City Public Museum. We will hear some facts and misconceptions about human trafficking as it exists today.

We also have another Small Wonder from Jim Schaap. Today he remembers the Children's Blizzard of 1888.
