The tragedy at an elementary school in Texas on Tuesday, May 24th once again highlighted the importance of school safety and prevention.
An 18-year-old gunman opened fire, killing 19 students and two teachers in the deadliest school shooting in almost a decade.
The Superintendent of the Sioux City Community School District, Paul Gausman, addressed the issue the next day during a news conference with reporters.

All schools in the district now have secure entryways and video systems. Due to safety concerns, Gausman says the district does not give out specific information about crisis planning for its 2,500 staff members and 15,000 students.
