Mammoths to Fairs in Clay County

Do you know the history behind the fireworks ban in Iowa... and many other states? You can hear the story at the Clay County Heritage Center in Spencer. You will also find mammoth bones, baseball lore, and more. The center is now entering the fourth year in their new facility. Recently, FM90’s Duane Kraayenbrink visited with Executive Director Cindy McGranahan, who spoke about their exhibits, and about their big baseball celebration this summer, featuring an appearance by Hall of Famer Rod Carew.
