Our World Cafe: Next artist Kevin Gordon has been releasing albums since 2001, and his new one coming out in September, Long Gone Time, is a great example of the swampy rock he favors. Pay attention to his lyrics: After a punk rock youth in Monroe, La., he went on to graduate with a master's from the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop. Gordon lives in Nashville now, and he can't shake his love of punk, poetry or Southern blues.
