One sister risks it all to prove that her sister is not insane by sneaking into the infamous Goldengrove Asylum. But she realizes that many of the women in the asylum aren't acutally insane but are merely inconvenient.  As her search for the truth continues, it threatens to unearth some secrets that some very powerful people would rather keep hidden.

Sparky the handsome terrier joins us for Welcome. Sit. Stay. He's well-behaved - a gentleman, really - and he'd be pleased if you would allow him into your life. Unless you have a big dog as big dogs do scare him. Find Sparky at the Siouxland Humane Society.

Every year at this time there is an influx of kittens at shelters, which means we get to remind you again to spay and neuter your pets. It's better for us all. That said, Lucy and her littermates need a loving home. Please find them at the Siouxland Humane Society.

Welcome. Sit. Stay. Mickey.

Apr 22, 2016

Mickey, a little fellow whose previous owner could no longer care for, joins us. And he is fine. Real fine. So fine, in fact, that his fine will spill over into your fine just beautifully. Find Mickey at the Siouxland Humane Society

Welcome. Sit. Stay. Vanilla.

Mar 18, 2016

It sometimes happens that a pet's owners' lives will change, and the pet is unable to be brought along. Such has happened to Vanilla, a fine dog with a friendly disposition. The upside is that many of us need a change, and a dog like Vanilla is what brings us along. You can find this friendly little fellow at the Siouxland Humane Society

Buddy's previous owners fell upon financial difficulties, so now this little fellow must find a new home. He will need some exercise, so he would be a great motivator for getting out as the nice weather comes in. You can find Buddy at the Siouxland Humane Society.

This weeks poem is from Gretchen Gondek:

We had a pug
     we called her puggy.
She slept all day
     and left puggy doodles
          in the basement at night.

Sam is a 12 year old lab mix who has been a part of a large and loving family. Unfortunate circumstances, life circumstances, have brought Sam to the Siouxland Humane Society, where he awaits his next loving home. Hear about him on today's Welcome. Sit. Stay.

Jasmine, due to a rather Draconian municipal law, cannot be adopted by anyone living within Sioux City, and it is a tragedy. She is a sweet and loving girl, and she deserves a loving home as much as any other dog. Find out how sweet she is for yourself, visit her at the Siouxland Humane Society.
