Cultural Continuum returns after a bit of a layoff and it's Cinco de Mayo this week. Also Watermelon Slim returns to Vangarde and Sioux City Chamber Music Association wraps up the year with a look ahead to a Carnegie Hall concert with a couple of gents with Sioux City ties.
Great weekend to get out if you're looking for some art, also the Siouxland Coffee Festival gets underway at the Sioux City Convention Center another fine performance for the Morningside College Piano Recital Series and Watermelon Slim and his band go to work at Vangarde Arts.
This is the last weekend to check out the National Music Museum for awhile, college theater at Morningside and Wayne, there's a smattering of hikes and an Elvis (Costello) collaborator, which is way different than an Elvis impersonator.
The Sioux City International Film Festival gets underway Wednesday, but there are loads of things to do leading up to that. Live music, BBQ, hot rods, a planetarium show in Wayne and a chance to audition for the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra.
