The House last week passed a $19 billion disaster aid bill that would deliver long-sought relief to farmers, victims of hurricanes and floods, and rebuild southern military bases, as Democrats try to dislodge the legislation from a Senate logjam over aid to hurricane-slammed Puerto Rico.

Today we hear about some efforts by the federal government, the air national Guard and a local solar power vendor to help those devastated in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of a hurricane in 2017.  

Gretchen talks dance with Ballet Sioux/Siouxland Civic Dance's Tracy Bennett. Specifically an upcoming performance of The Little Match Girl, Sunday, Novwember 18th at Klinger Neal Theater.

Ode plays at the Marquee with opening act Edem Soul Music, there's art at the Benson Building and we blast off into a month of One Book One Siouxland with Margot Lee Shetterly's, Hidden Figures.

Richard Gammon travels from his home base in New York City to take Henry Purcell's opera, Dido and Aeneas give it a modern spin and produce it at Morningside's Klinger-Neal Theatre.  Morningside's Suzanne Hedrix-Case is assisting and together they fill Gretchen in on how the production is going.
