Sioux City Community Theatre opens a show, there's a couple of Celtic music groups to get you ready for St. Patrick's Day, the SCSO is bringing in a dance troupe from NYC and and why have a Fat Tuesday when you can have a Fat Saturday with a Mardi Gras Party at Vangarde Arts?

Gretchen welcomes Ryan Haskins, Music Director and Conductor of the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra. He'll talk about Cherish the Ladies, a pre-St. Patricks Day evening of Irish and Celtic music. Also the Irish Fest, which gets underway with appetizers, green beer and local musicians playing Irish music in the Orpheum lobby before the concert.

Lamb and SCCT go into the second weekend of their respective offerings, the SCSO welcomes Cherish the Ladies with the best Irish tin whistle player in the world, Bravo Amici performs all kinds of vocal music from contemporary to opera plus an in depth discussion of coffee and donut shops.

Irish and Celtic group Cherish the Ladies will join the Sioux City Symphony this Saturday Night. The accomplished group of women are led by Joanie Madden, who holds a World Championship in Irish Music in both flute and tin whistle. They also bring dancers and the evening will get an early start with Irish fare available in a special pre-concert get together in the Orpheum before the show.
