Ten O'clock Blues 1.30.21

Jan 30, 2021

Selwyn Birchwood just kind of sounds dangerous - his guitar playing, his gravelly baritone voice and his bari sax driven horn section just make his album Living in a Burning House sound like the Evel Knievel of blues bands. It's cool... just don't let kids listen! Well put the little ones to bed and tune in to hear from Birchwood, The Black Keys and a classic from Magic Sam on this episode of the TOB.

Also, we'll hear from Marcus King, Nathaniel Rateliff and Samantha Fish.

Charlie Musselwhite and Elvin Bishop are a couple of the the blues elder statesman - their new album is called 100 Years of Blues for a reason. Walter Trout has been around the block a few times as well, but newcomers GA-20 and ZZ Ward help to bring the average performer age down a few decades on this edition of the TOB.

Ten O'clock Blues 9.26.20

We've got a good variety of Betty's on the show this time, though neither of them spell it like that...
