Today, I am recommending No One Crosses the Wolf: A Memoir by Lisa Nikolidakis.
The author of this compelling memoir begins by recounting the devastating story of her father's death, which was the result of a murder-suicide he committed. His girlfriend and her teenage daughter were also victims of this violent offense. Lisa takes readers on a moving journey as she grapples with a complex range of emotions in the aftermath of the tragedy. Her feelings of grief and anger are intermingled with a sense of guilt and relief that she managed to escape a similar outcome.
Following the heartbreaking event, Lisa comes to realize the significance of understanding her past and finding her true self. She sets out to confront the traumatic events of her childhood and uncover the reality of her father's actions. Although the process takes her to dark places, Lisa remains steadfast in her resolve. Despite the unimaginable horrors she suffered at the hands of her own father, she courageously confronts them.
