Upcoming Film Festival Features Women in Cinema, 50+ Shorts and More

The Sioux City International Film Festival opens in two weeks.  On Thursday, September 19, 2019, at the Promenade Theatre organizers outlined what to expect during this year’s 15th annual event.

Here’s a portion of a news conference with Film Festival Board Member Leslie Werden from Morningside College.

The Film Festival runs from October 4th through the 6th and includes workshops and a special panel of “Women in Film” featuring a group making a big impact in the movie and entertainment world. 

The festival features 53 different shorts running up to 30 minutes in length.  An estimated 170 films were submitted for consideration into the 15th annual event.
