Ten O'clock Blues 6.13.20

Bluesman Sean Costello passed away far too young, a day before his 29th birthday in 2008. Now many of his fellow players pay tribute to his memory with  Don't Pass Me By an album of Costello's songs. Victor Wainright recorded the title cut, we open tonight's show with that, plus you'll hear SRV and the new Brittany Howard.

An international feel to the TOB this week as we hear from Canadians Sue Foley and Layla Zoe plus Croatia's Vanja Sky. Also we'll hear some down home blues with Catfish Keith from right here in the Hawkeye State.

Ally Venable is playing guitar and paying her dues as an aspiring blueswoman, we'll hear her do a Stevie Ray Vaughn song to open the show this week.  Also, fellow 20-something Jontavious Willis and gray-beards, Buddy Guy and Fruteland Jackson.

It's forthcoming music from Larkin Poe to start things off this time. We'll also hear new blues from Linsey Alexander and The Ruthie Foster Big Band plus a great summer time tune from J.J. Grey & Mofro.
