John Mayall has a fine new album with many fine guests including Todd Rundgren, Joe Bonamassa and Carolyn Wonderland, we'll kick things off with that. Plus we'll hear from Eli Paperboy Reed, Robin Trower and a classic from Magic Sam.
Guitarist Marcus King opens the show with his big warm jam-bandy feel, we'll follow that up with a new set of music from Stevie Ray Vaughn keys ace, Reece Wynans. We also play a classic from George Thorogood which may sound aimless but it's just that he has no particular place to go.
If you saw Dustin Arbuckle recently in either of his two stops at Vangarde Arts with either of his bands; well, he's on the show. Plus we have a new album from Big Joe and the Dynaflows. John Mayall too has put together a really nice new album too called Nobody Told Me. We're letting you know that you can hear a bit of that toward the end of this podcast.
Whitney Shay has a big, warm, West Coast sound with horns and a sultry voice that propel her well structured songs along nicely. Also we hear a Tab Benoit tune we haven't played in years and Watermelon Slim checks the wait time on St. Peter's Ledger.
Dashboard Jesus sends us into this edition of the Ten O'clock Blues. Along the way we'll also hear from Tedeschi Trucks Band, Ina Forsman and we'll hear a little bit from Iowan and International Blues Challenge winner, Kevin Burt.
