Speech on Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is the one of the most common crimes in the United States today.  And it’s quite common in Iowa as well.  Since 2007, reports show that nearly 700 young people have been used by human traffickers and held against their will.  Briar Cliff University Assistant Professor of Social Work

Sister Shirley Fineran is working to stop trafficking in Iowa.  She is speaking about the issue Sunday evening at Briar Cliff.  Siouxland Public Media’s Mary Hartnett has this report.
