A flash flood warning remains in effect until 12:15 this afternoon for the northwest corner of Iowa.  

Up to four inches of rain fell in Rock Valley forcing the warning for Lyon, northwest Sioux in Iowa and southeastern Lincoln county in South Dakota.

There is a thunderstorm watch for the next hour for Buena Vista, Dickinson, Cherokee, O’Brien and Clay counties in Iowa.

This includes the Iowa Great Lakes region.

The deadline for people in Woodbury, Monona and seven other counties in Iowa is on July 1st.

More than 2,400 Iowa households and families have registered with FEMA so far, and the agency has already approved more than $13 million for Iowans.

Once a homeowner registers with FEMA, the agency works to get an inspector to their home to survey the damage.

Tonight, is round two for Democrats in the race for their party nomination.

Ten candidates took the stage last night, another ten tonight.

Supporters of three candidates have planned debate watch parties in Sioux City tonight.

There’s one for Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders at Marty’s Tavern at 13th and Court starting at 7:30.

Backers of Joe Biden have an event planned at Buffalo Alice on Historic 4th Street at 7.

And, the Wheelhouse Bar and Grill on Southern Hills Drive is hosting a watch party for Kamala Harris a U.S. Senator from California.

The big issues during last night’s debate included heath care and immigration.

In all there are 23 people vying for the chance to face President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
