Ernst on Impeachment; Climate Change and Farmers; COVID Pen Pals-The Exchange

This week on The Exchange, we hear from US Senator Joni Earnst about the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.  Ernst says she has constitutional concerns about the process.

Also, we talk with Dennis Todey. He is the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Midwest Climate Hub in Ames about the possiblity of drought in Iowa this spring and summer.

And we learn about a new survey from Iowa State Extension and Outreach. It shows that farmers have more faith in climate change science than a few years ago, and they also are using more cultivation methods to improve the climate.

We also talk with baseball coach Bob Protexter about his work as coach for Russia's national team, and some activities he is organzing this weekend in Okoboji, at the time of the 41st Annual University of Okoboji Games.

And we learn about a pen pal program in Nebraska that will connect people in different parts of the state during the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is called Dear Stranger.  

And we hear an interview with Holocaust survivor Inga Auerbacher, in commemoration with Holocaust Remembrence Day, January 27.
