We talk about the increasing need for senior care givers in Iowa, and especially in Western Iowa, where there are not enough people living here to fill senior care jobs. One answer could be a pilot program expanding across the state that connects seniors and caregivers to help them stay in their homes longer. We talk with UI's Brian Kaskie about the Iowa Return to the Community program.

We talk with Sioux City Council member Julie Schoenherr about efforts to create more affordable housing within existing building projects.

Also, we talk with Woodbury County auditor and elections official Pat Gill about a bill that would alter the time allowed for absentee votes by mail to be approved. The bill would also ban ballot boxes like the one outside of the Woodbury County Courthouse.
