The Sioux City Community School District broke ground on a new construction trades building on July 20, 2022. The more than $4 million facility located at the Harry Hopkins building will give students of the Career Academy hands-on experience. Interim Superintendent Rod Earleywine talks about the importance of the project with Siouxland Public Media’s Sheila Brummer.
Earleywine took over leadership of the district on July 1st for Superintendent Paul Gausman, who left for a similar position in Lincoln, Nebraska. Earleywine will spend one year on the job after serving the Sergeant Bluff Luton School District for 27-years.
