Activist Tyler LaMere leads march for LGBTQ rights in Winnebago, Nebraska

The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska recently faced an inclusivity issue, with two different viewpoints. We’re talking about the rights of the LGBTQ+ community on the reservation. Siouxland Public Media’s Sheila Brummer explores the controversy that started with concerns regarding same-sex marriage that led to conflicting details, heightened awareness, and potential change, due in part, to the actions of one young tribal member.

Sheila Brummer returns to her radio roots as a Reporter/Special Projects Producer for Siouxland Public Media KWIT-KOJI.
