The 30th annual Saturday in the Park delayed from its July 4th date in Sioux City because of COVID-19.

“Tentatively, we are looking at some dates in late August or September, I know that this incredibly disappointing for many most notability most of us that work on the festival, and so many of our attendees, fans, sponsors, crews. I know that this festival has a real sweet spot in the all lot of folks hearts after 29 years.”
Bernstein also said the organizers have to be realistic about their chances of being able to pull off the festival in the fall being 50/50.

At a press conference today Gov. Kim Reynolds announced the State Hygienic Lab has validated Test Iowa’s equipment for COVID-19. This comes three weeks after the state announced it was launching the initiative.
Gov. Reynolds said the State Hygienic Lab -- which conducted the validation process -- said results indicated a 95 percent accuracy rate for positive tests and a 99 point 7 percent accuracy rate for negative tests.
Prior to Test Iowa’s validation, the State Hygienic Lab was using its own equipment. Gov. Reynolds said the validation will increase the state’s testing capabilities. Reynolds said she expected more tests to be processed more quickly, with results delivered on a timely basis.
