During his State of the State address this morning Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts laid out his top priorities.
“Property tax relief. Flood relief. Veterans tax relief. And growing our people and businesses. These are four ways we can keep Nebraska strong and growing in 2020.”
Ricketts also recommended about $500 million in property tax relief over the next three years to help farmers, ranchers, home owners and businesses.
And, this morning President Donald Trump held a signing ceremony for an interim trade agreement with China. Also, attending South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.
Six Democratic presidential candidates faced off at a debate at Drake University in Des Moines last night.
At the debate hosted by CNN and the Des Moines Register, candidates fielded questions drawn from Iowans’ own suggestions.
Climate change consistently ranks among the top concerns this cycle.

Tomorrow, two political events will take place in Sioux City. The daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, Lara Trump will be part of a “Women for Trump Bus Tour” that stops in Sioux City. The event starts at 10 a.m. at the Country Celebrations Events Center.
South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg campaigns in northwest Iowa with events tomorrow in Emmetsburg, Arnolds Park, Orange City. He caps off the day with a town hall at West Middle School in Sioux City at 7 p.m.
Then on Friday, former Vice President Joe Biden holds a campaign event at Western Iowa Tech Community College. He will appear at the Rocklin Conference Center on campus at 12:45 p.m.
