This Thanksgiving week will be a cold and snow one in Siouxland. The whole Siouxland area will under either a Winter Storm Warning starting tomorrow morning.
“Looks like a pretty decent storm at this point. We’ll begin to that move into the Sioux City tomorrow afternoon Tuesday. The snow will pick up through the evening. The heaviest after 6 pm and continue into early Wednesday morning.”
That’s Jim Murray, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls. He says Sioux City could see between five and eight inches of snow and parts of western and southern Nebraska up to a foot of snow. Murray says you often see the first winter storm at the end of November or the beginning of December. Murray says we could see more snow on Thanksgiving Day and his office is tracking another storm for later this week into Saturday that could “cause a lot of problems”.
Planned Parenthood has launched a new online tool to help Iowans find the nearest clinic with abortion services.
The new tool will also provide information on each state’s regulations and restrictions on abortion.
Erin Davison-Rippey is the Executive Director for Planned Parenthood in Iowa. She says it will help people understand their options when abortion laws are becoming increasingly complex.
It can be hard for folks to know what their options are, you know, based on where they're located, how far along they are in their pregnancy and their age."
The tool is now available on Planned Parenthood’s website.
