Sioux City Historian Russ Gifford Talks about the United State's Entry into WWI

This month is the 100th anniversary of the United States’ entry into World War One.  At that time, the country was largely divided on whether to join the battle.  Russ Gifford is local historian known for his lively presentations at Western Iowa Tech Community College.  In an interview with Siouxland Public Media’s Mary Hartnett, Gifford talks about the status of the United States before and after the war, and how that conflict shaped the rest of the 20th Century.
